We get this question quite often. You took in a performance at the Grandstand and loved the opening act, but did not quite catch their name. At times they may play individually, or as a loose ensemble. You want to know where to follow them or find their music. Odds are that you saw one of our featured Louisiana Grandstand artists opening for your favorite touring musician. These artists are headlining plenty of other places as they hone their craft, but where you encountered them on our stage is a unique experiential opportunity.

     At the Grandstand, we have a program residency for rising artists that gives many of them a play as an opener, but you will also spot them working the concerts. There they learn to not only captivate audiences, but also the technical and business side of concerts. This residency prepares them for their aspirations as a touring musician, giving them a sense of full understanding of what it takes to become a commercially successful musical artist.
